A HOT MARGARITA FOR A HOT DAY
It has been so hot in LA, so here's my go-to drink to help beat the heat.
This SPICY MARGARITA is so easy to make. The secret to getting your margarita hot is making spicy homemade ice cubes. Just add a slice of jalapeno to each cube in your ice tray before sticking it in the freezer. Then use that ice in your drink! It's spicy, but oh so good.
SPICY HOMEMADE MARGARITA INGREDIENTS
- 1 to 2 shots of your favorite tequila (mine is PARTIDA!)
- the juice of a whole lime
- 1 tablespoon of agave nectar
- jalapeno ice
- salt is optional
Shake up your favorite tequila, agave, lime juice and jalapeno ice in a shaker and pour!
I don't take mine with salt, but you can if it's your preference. Just run a piece of lime on the rim of your glass and sprinkle it with a little salt.
I like to get a wee bit fancy by adding a garnish to my margarita. All I do is hang a thin slice of lime to the rim of my glass and viola!
Drink up! But remember drink responsibly. :)
